Exclusively revealed at last – Mr Jackie Lavin’s prep notes before each episode.

1. Find a business partner who won’t shred our contracts if we pawn off 14 utter gombeens on them.
2. Get these 14 people, in 3 days, to do the work usually done by 150 Tiger Cubs in 6 months.
3. Get taskmasters to identify the slightly less incompetent half of competitors.
4. Get Jackie and That Other Fella to choose the competior who most resembles me. Remember to say the word ’sales’ at least five times per sentence in the boardroom.
5. Arbitrarily choose any competitor who is not like me (underprivileged northsider with a passion for SALES!) and have That Other Fella give me reasons to fire them. Remember not to listen to Jackie for fear for looking whipped.
6. Do it again next week, but remember to call Spar and get some charidee bears sold once in a while.

The Apprentice without Breffni is like The X Factor without Jedward: totally unwatchable, arbitrary, and entirely unengaging.

Bring back the Late Late enterprise show.

Could this be the start of a new business? Thanks to Daintree, have embraced my inner Mary Fitzgerald and have tacked, stuck, shaped and folded by way through the past few days. The task? Two cards, one for Gav’s soon-to-be-godchild, another for eldest sister Orla who is graduating with yet another parchment this weekend. Damn overachievers!

So, what do you think of my efforts? Pictures taken on Gav’s new iPhone btw (I know his birthday isn’t till November 27th, but he *needed* it now, or so he claimed.) Can’t post the grad card until after Saturday, afraid eldest is snooping here!

I reckon I’ll stick to the day job though… ! Very excited about the weekend ahead… a grad, a christening, the rugby, the soccer… Yipee for humpday and all that being another day away!
