I’ve been a little idle in the class I’m currently in (Network & Internet Applications) and I’ve spent the time setting up a few new useful Twitter bots.

First off is:

• @bbcmanutd - which is hooked up to the BBC news feed for Manchester United - the world’s greatest soccer team, of course ( ) - and Tweets any new stories every half-hour.

Then come three similar bots, with rugby news:

• @bbcirishrugby, tweeting half-hourly news on everything to do with Irish rugby
• @bbcleinster, with updates from the Leinster rugby scene
• @bbcmunster, with all the latest news for the European champions, Munster

provences.

Last night while bored I also set up @ilostthegame. Those of you who are familiar with The Game will just have lost it - if not, this Wikipedia article will explain all. Either way, this Bot tweets whenever anyone else announces they’ve lost The Game. Pretty much useless, but good fun nonetheless.

There might be more bots made over the coming hours, days or weeks, and I’ll stick them up on this page if it happens.
