Radiohead: NEW ALBUM ANNOUNCED

Right. Let’s be simple about this.

1) Radiohead this morning announced on their Dead Air Space blog that their new album, In Rainbows, is finished. Nice.

2) They then announce that it’s out on October 10th. Yeah, October 10th. That’s Wednesday week.

3) And you can choose the price you want to pay for downloading it.

As BoingBoing says:

This is major, and it’s such a slap in the record industry’s face. An unsigned superband, treating loyal fans and customers like loyal fans and customers instead of thieves — what a revolutionary concept.

I think I’m going to go off now and give them immense amounts of money, just for offering it for next-to-nothing.

Hehe.. I’ll get to that; I’ve a working weekend ahead of me but it’s promising enough. The only perplexing bit is what would be a single from it.

Nude is amazing though. So much better on record than live.
